Gerald Lee Kannady

Gerald Lee Kannady , 61, husband of Diana Kendall Kannady, and resident of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Friday July 27, 2018 at his residence after a 27 year battle with Arachnoiditis disease. Born in Pendleton County, KY, he was the son of the late John William” Edsel” and Ida Bernice Lily Kannady.

Before his disability, Gerald was a heavy equipment operator for Bavarian Trucking. His passion was riding horses, hunting and riding motorcycles. On November 6, 1976 he married the former Diana Kendall; she survives.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters: Sonya (Sean) Lee Kannady Brown, Tanya (Chris) Howell, both of Dry Ridge, KY; one brother: Timmy Wayne Kannady of Taylor Mill, KY and one sister: Sandra Jean (Charles) Taylor of Taylor Mill, KY. Six grandchildren also survive: Trenton, Carissa, Cody, Brianna, Logen and Sean Jr., along with one great-grandchild: Emmalynn. He was preceded in death by one brother: Danny Joe Kannady.

Visitation will be Monday July 30 from 11:00 – 2:00 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Homes in Dry Ridge. Funeral services will be at 2:00 with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating.

Memorials may be made in Gerald’s memory toward the funeral expenses.
