Mr. Clyde Russell Woodyard of Owenton, KY. passed away Friday, June 22 at his residence at the age of 75.  Mr. Woodyard was born October 3, 1942 in London, KY. to the late Clyde Woodyard and Mae Proffit Woodyard.  Mr. Woodyard was a retired school bus driver for the Owen County School System, a former employee for the General Motors Corporation in Norwood, OH. a former employee for the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. and a farmer.  Mr. Woodyard made a profession of faith in Jesus as Lord many years ago and had always maintained that unshakeable faith in the divine will of God.  At the time of his passing Mr. Woodyard was a member of the Elk Lick Baptist Church.   Mr. Woodyard was an accomplished woodworker and loved to hunt rabbits.  Mr. Woodyard's family will most fondly remember that he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Woodyard was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Mr. Woodyard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Howard Woodyard.  By 2 sons: Christopher Woodyard and his wife Marcia of Frankfort, KY., Todd Woodyard and his wife Tina of Owen County, KY., by 3 daughters: Angie Gaines and her husband Harold of Owen County, KY., Cindy Maddox and her husband Greg of Frankfort, KY., Tina Sandlin and her husband Christopher of Somerset, KY., 1 sister: Bessie West of Reynoldsburg, OH.  Mr. Woodyard was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Russell Woodyard will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 26 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Bro. Everett Hawkins, Bro. John Thomas, Bro. Danny Duvall officiating with Bro. Darrell Treece officiating at the graveside.  Visitation will be Monday, June 25 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Souder Cemetery in Owen County, KY.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Clyde Russell Woodyard Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
