Mabel Lawson Simpson, 100 , formerly of Crittenden, KY passed away Monday March 5, 2018 at Grant Center. She was born March 4, 1918 in Powell Co., KY to the late Roy Edgar & Mary Betty Lewis Lawson. She was a lunchroom manager at Dry Ridge Elementary for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of Christ. She was the widow of the late Marvin “Randall” Simpson; he preceded her in death on March 8, 1979.
Mabel is survived by two daughters: Sandra Lee (Larry) Howe of Crittenden, KY, Pamela Alease (Steve) Faulkner of Crittenden, KY; five sisters: Beulah Hill True of Cynthiana, KY, Bernice Bennett of Williamstown, KY, Sylvia Cook Shetler of Florence, KY, Odella Delaney of Mason, KY, Betty Sue McClannahan of Greendale, Wisconson. Six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson also survives. She was preceded in death by one brother: Roy Lawson, Jr. and three sisters: Julie Cash, Florene Lucas and Ella Simpson.
Visitation will be Saturday March 10, 2018 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. A committal service will be held immediately after visitation at Williamstown Cemetery.
