Aleene Hattie Adams

October 14, 1927 - February 28, 2018

Mrs. Aleene “Leenie” Hattie Adams, a Williamstown resident, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband James Billie “Jim” Adams.

On October 14, 1927, Aleene was born to the late James Madison Adams and Hattie N. Lozier in Pendleton County. She was united in marriage to James Adams on October 23, 1948. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker, farmer, former owner of Goforth Community Center and member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Aleene is survived by four sons, Gary Adams (the late Robin) of Williamstown, KY, Jack Adams (Sandi) of Williamstown, KY, Roger Adams (Melody) of Crittenden, KY, Larry “Rick” Adams (Gina) of Falmouth, KY, two sisters, Bess Lovelace and Ethel Webster of Williamstown, KY, six grandchildren, Brandon Adams, Chris Adams, David Adams, Rachael (Brad) Wright, Donnita (Rob) Allmond, Megan (Bill) Abbott, seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Adams, Kai Miller, Allison Abbott, Jacy, Brandi, Jemma and Lindsy Adams. Leenie was preceded in death by siblings, Luther, Ray, Stanley, James, Ambrose, Edith and Jewel.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 3-5pm at the Elliston–Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral Services will follow on Saturday at 5pm with Rev. Ronnie Angell officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Williamstown, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church building fund .
