Mr. Howard Raymond Griffith, a Union resident, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the age of 90.
On November 5, 1927, Mr. Griffith was born to the late John E. Griffith and Harpie Ann Jackson in Independence, KY. On October 29, 1948 Howard was united in marriage to the love of his life, Norma Christine Moore. Through this union, was born two sons, Howard Wayne Griffith (Linda) of Florence, KY, Mark Alan Griffith (Susan) of Independence, KY, one daughter, Carol Susan Osborne (Gary) of Union, KY, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Howard is a veteran and former ship mechanic for the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Panama Canal. He was retired as an engineer for Cincinnati Milacron. He was a former member of the Walton Baptist Church, a current mason of the Colonel Clay (159) Lodge, and former Master Mason. He loved to spend time with his family and adored his beautiful bride, Norma, of 69 years of faithful marriage.
Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2017 from 11am-1pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Funeral and Masonic services will also be Friday at 1pm. Burial with military honors will be at 2pm at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans,
