Fred Brock

September 20, 1930 - December 18, 2017

Fred Brock, 87, a resident of Florence, formerly of Crittenden, KY, passed away Monday December 18, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center. He was born September 20, 1930 in Pineville (Bell Co.), KY, to the late Matt and Nettie Helton Brock.

He was a retired machinist at General Electric. Five days before his death he and his wife, the former  Evelyn Dugger, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, having been married in 1952 in Taswell, TN. She survives.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a two sons: Michael (Tammy) Brock of Williamstown, KY, Larry (Kim) Jackson of Lawrenceburg, IN; one brother: Charles Brock of Brooksville, KY and two sisters: Imojean Litton of Evendale, OH and Louise Miller of Loveland, OH.  Two grandchildren; Kathleen Chapman and Shawn Jackson and four great-grandchildren also survive.  Fred was preceded in death by four brothers: Floyd, Ray, Curt and Sonny, along with three sisters: Etta Gearheart, Hazel Valentine and Jewel Couch.

Visitation will be Thursday December 21, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location.  The funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Gayliss Gaines officiating. Burial will be Friday at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Corbin, KY at 1:00
