Oretha Kinman

November 14, 1925 - December 12, 2017

Mrs. Oretha "Rita" Ward Kinman was born in Inez, Kentucky on November 14, 1925 and passed away at Colonial Gardens in Florence, on December 8, 2017 at the age of 92.  She was the daughter of the late Hansford and Jannie Wells Ward.

Rita was united in marriage with Harold Wayne "Wink" Kinman on May 15, 1948.  In addition to her loving husband of 69 + years, she is survived by daughters: Jane Deye and her husband, Martin ("Marty") of Crescent Springs and Tammy Harris and her husband, Randy, of Tustin, CA; sisters: Model Sinning of Ft. Thomas and Eulah Villines and her husband, James, of Dayton, OH; Grandchildren: Jennifer Charlton (Greg Evans), Nikki Wells (Jeremiah), Jesse Brown (Doug), Justin Kinman (Brittany), Britta Wulfeck (Andy), Abby Sherwood (Evan), Matt Deye and Ben Harris (Sarah); Great Grandchildren: Matthew Brown, Carter and Colton Kinman and Olive Sherwood and daughter-in-law: Linda Kinman.

Mrs. Kinman was preceded in death by sons: James Steven Kinman and John Wayne Kinman; brothers: Eugene Ward, Clay Ward and Carly Ward; sisters: Olive Beach, Thelma Schwerman and Goldie Jump.

Oretha was a hair dresser and homemaker and an active member of the Greenview Baptist Church for many years.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.  The visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the family lot in the Williamstown Cemetery.
