Leona Christina Lockaby

July 28, 1956 - September 16, 2017

Leona Christina Lockaby, 61, a resident of Crittenden, KY passed away Saturday September 16, 2017 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 28, 1956 in Pikeville, KY to the late Talmage & Oma Mullins Slone.  Chris was the wife of Ernie Lockaby, whom she married on May 1, 1972; he survives.

Chris was a loving mother, devoted wife and committed grandmother.  She was a member of the Harvest Apostolic Church in Williamstown.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Ernie, include one daughter, Trisha Marie Church of Crittenden; two sons, Ernie Lockaby and Charles Patrick Lockaby, both of Florence; one brother, Tony Slone of Crittenden and a sister, Patricia Rodriguez of Georgia. Five grandchildren also survive, Chelsea, Melanie, Shelby, Elexis and Christopher, along with three great-grandchildren, Audrianna, Paisleigh and Aleah and a special nephew, who was much like a grandson, Justin.

Chris was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Steven Lockaby and a brother, Paul Slone.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Harvest Apostolic Church with the Rev. Michael Pullens officiating.
