Mr. Donald Raymond Elliott of Mt. Zion, KY. passed away Saturday, April 15 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 70.  Mr. Elliott was born January 19, 1947 in Covington, KY. to the late Robert V. and Emily Cook Elliott.  Mr. Elliott retired from Hertz Rental Cars where he worked as a service agent for 29 years. In recent years he owned and operated Don's Lawn Service.  He formerly worked for Elliott Stables and had a passion for horses.  He also formerly helped with the Elliott Fishing Lake in Florence, KY.  Mr. Elliott was a devoted member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as a trustee of the church.  He enjoyed pitching horseshoes and watching all types of sports.

Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Louise Carnes Elliott, a daughter: Leslie Rae Elliott of Mt. Zion, a son: Donald R. Elliott, Jr. and his wife Tonya of Springdale, OH., grandchildren: Nicolas, Seth, Addison, Walker, sisters: Erma Sarcione and Barbra Omore both of Ft. Mitchell, KY., brothers: Robert V. Elliott, II of Ft. Thomas, KY., David Elliott of Dallas, TX., brother in law: Roger Quarles of Georgetown, KY., sister in law: Charlotte Henly of Frankfort, KY., brother in law: Bruce (Pam) Carnes of Mt. Zion, KY., brother in law: Douglas Carnes of Mt. Zion, KY., sister in law: Becky Coldiron of Crittenden, KY., a niece: Courtney (Marc) Wenning of Burlington, KY. and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Donald Raymond Elliott will be conducted 12:00 noon Thursday, April 20 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Marksberry officiating.  Visitation will also be at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 19 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  There will also be visitation on Thursday at the church the hour prior to the funeral.  Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
