Ralph Ewing Workman of Dry Ridge, KY was born July 22, 1925 in Milford, KY and died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Dry Ridge, KY at the age of 91.
He was the son of the late Willis and Leticia Ishmael Workman, a retired farmer and former Welder for the Clow Corperation, a WWII veteran of the US Navy, and a member of the Dry Ridge Christian Church. He was also an accomplished fast pitch softball pitcher for numerous local teams playing all around Kentucky.
On December 15, 1948 he was united in marriage with his wife Alma Fern Browning Workman who preceded him in death in 2016.
He is survived by 5 sons: Ralph Lee Workman of Williamstown, Lowell (Terreca) Workman of Sparta, Teddy (Donna) Workman of Jonesville, Mitchell (Pam) Workman of Williamstown, and Thad Workman of Dry Ridge; 4 daughters, Barbara Burgess of Dry Ridge, Deborah (Paul) Glass of Dry Ridge, Candace (Greg) Bolin of Cynthiana, and Laurel (Greg) Dickman of Union; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:30am Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY followed by burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00pm, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
