Callen Cheesman

May 21, 1966 - April 4, 2017

Callen Young Cheesman was born May 21, 1966 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away April 4, 2017 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 50.  He was the son of Coreta Rice Cheesman of Walton, KY and the late Olan Layne Cheesman.

Callen was a Crew Foreman for Owen Electric and a member of Walton Christian Church.  He was a former basketball coach for multiple boys and girls teams.  He loved cars, but most of all he will be remembered for his great love for his family.

On June 8, 1991 Callen was united in marriage to Kimberly Vest Cheesman.  In addition to his wife of 25 years and his mother, he is survived by a daughter: Ashley (Mike) Cheesman Gabbard of Union; a son: Braden Callen Cheesman of Union; four sisters: Layna (JR) Feagan of Verona, Dayna (Ali) Mohammadione of Toledo, OH, Jayna Cheesman of Lexington and Mary (Steven) Ganzel of Nicholasville; a sister-in-law: Karla (Danny) Berry of Union; his mother-in-law: Nancy Vest of Walton; a niece: Leila (Jeremy) Pallitta; five nephews: Abraham (Ann) Mohammadione, Armon Mohammodione, Nick (Michelle) Feagan, Landon Berry and Logan Berry; and 2 great-neices: Jeila and Elora Pallitta.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Walton Christian Church located at 50 S. Main St., Walton, KY 41094 with Rev. Gayliss Gaines and Bro. Kevin Russell officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Walton Christian Church.  Burial will be in the Richwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
