A Crittenden resident, Dennie Lee Rogers, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the age of 75. He was the husband of Janet Caldwell Rogers. Mr. Rogers was born on March 3, 1941 in Crittenden, KY to late father Lawrence "Mutt" Rodgers and survived by his mother Edith Harris Rodgers of Williamstown, KY.
Mr. Rogers was retired after 20 years from the U.S. Air Force. He also was retired as a dispatcher from the Old Dominion trucking company. He was a member of the Gardnersville Baptist Church, American Legion Post, and had a passion for fishing.
In addition to his wife Janet, Mr. Rogers is survived by one stepson, Bobby Joe Richerson of Crittenden, KY, two daughters, Leslie Weller (Bob) of Valrico, FL, Robin Rogers of Valrico, FL, Stepdaughter Lisa Browning (Michael) of Dry Ridge, KY, two brothers, Michael Owen Rodgers of Crittenden, KY, James Allen Rodgers of Crittenden, KY, one sister, Melody Ann Adams (Roger) of Crittenden, KY, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by one brother Lyle Rodgers, and one sister, Joy Belle Beach.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 11am-1pm at the Gardnersville Baptist Church. Memorial service will start at 1pm. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at the convenience of the family. Memorials are suggested to the Gardnersville Baptist Church. Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home of Crittenden is handling arrangements.
