Jo Ann Elliott Richards

Jo Ann Elliott Richards of Verona, KY was born August 23, 1933 in Covington, KY and died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the age of 83.

Jo Ann was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Nannie Byrd Arnold Elliott. She was a homemaker, a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, and a charter member of the Verona EMS and Rescue Squad. On June 7, 1953 she was united in marriage to her late husband Charles “Chuck” C. Richards who died in 2007.

Surviving is 1 son, C. Michael (Melody) Richards of Verona; 2 daughters, Donna (Johnny) Younger and Jennifer (Brian) Shaffeld both of Verona; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona followed by entombment in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will also be 11:00am-1:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
