Ada Nickell Kearns, a Burlington resident, and formerly of Williamstown, KY, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood at the age of 72.She was the wife of Edward Kearns, and was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lacie Childress.
Mrs. Kearns was a homemaker and member of the Burlington Baptist church.
In addition to her husband Eddie, she is survived by one son, Michael Kearns of Burlington, daughter Michelle Childress (Barry) of Hebron, three brothers, Gary Nickell of Williamstown, KY, Gregory Scott Nickell of Dry Ridge, KY, Brian Nickels of Williamson, GA, six sisters, Teresa Caswell of Falmouth, Sharon Merrill of Dry Ridge, Virginia Varner of Dry Ridge, Kathy Caldwell of Dry Ridge, Angie Rains of Crittenden, Margie Vickers of Corinth, two grandchildren, Madison and Dakota.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6, from 5-8pm. Funeral will be Tuesday, July 7, at 11am. Services will be held at Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden, KY. Burial will follow at Burlington cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood or the Boone County Animal Shelter.
