Wilma Grant

July 21, 1925 - May 13, 2015

Wilma Lou Bruner Grant was born in London, Kentucky on July 21, 1925 and passed away at her home in Walton, Kentucky on May 13, 2015 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late George and Ida Benge Bruner.

On August 19, 1944, Wilma was united in marriage with Floyd Marshall Grant, who died December 17, 2001. From this union, one daughter was born, Linda Louise Smith, who preceded her mother in death on September 10, 2001. Mrs. Grant is survived by her grandson: James Grant Smith of independence; her great grandchildren: George, Eleanor and Hudson Louise; her sisters: Valerie Phelps of London and Bo Tomlin of Bowling Green.

A member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona, Mrs. Grant was the Vice President and Head Cashier of the Verona Bank until her retirement in 1987.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until Noon, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton - Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Graveside services will be at Noon on Tuesday at the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
