Elwood Haddix, a Glencoe resident, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at his residence at the age of 91.Mr. Haddix is the husband of Emma Johns Haddix.
Mr. Haddix was a dairy and tobacco farmer for most of his life. He had a passion for gardening, the outdoors and loved raising chickens.He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church for 71 years.
In addition to his wife Emma, Elwood is survived by one son, Michael E. Haddix (Missy) of Glencoe, KY, two daughters, Karen Wilson (Jimmy) of Glencoe, Mary Kathy O''Connor (Mike) of Union, one brother, Ernest Haddix of Verona, seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 1 pm.Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, from 4-8pm. Services will be held at Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.Burial will be at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.Memorials are suggested to the Bluegrass Hospice, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504 or the Concord Baptist Church, 8950 Ky Hwy 16, Verona, KY 41092.
