Herman Tyree Vest

August 30, 1936 - February 29, 2012

Herman T. Vest, 75, of Verona passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

He was the son of the late John William and Nannie Elizabeth Caldwell Vest. Following a twenty year career in the US Navy submarine service, he was an employee with the State of Kentucky at the Northern Kentucky Vocational and Technical school and a member of the Fleet Reserves of Northern Kentucky #283 in Elsmere.

Survivors include a son, Bill Vest of Verona; a daughter, Marla Vest of Verona; a brother, Carl Vest of Florence; a sister, Mable Francis Rex of Florence; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Estill Kerns Vest in 2007.

Visitation will be 5-8pm, Friday, March 2 with funeral service at 11am on Saturday, March 3, both at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Road, Verona, KY 41092. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
