Gordon D Simpson

February 28, 1953 - December 14, 2011

Gordon D. Simpson, 58 of Corinth (formerly of Pendleton County) passed away Wednesday, December 14th at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.

He was a full time farmer and a treatment plant operator for Bullock Pen Water in Crittenden since 1998. He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Christian Church; a former member of the Grant County Fair Board and the Grant County Coonhunters Club.

He was the son of Lee Roy and Emma Redman Simpson of Dry Ridge; the husband of Sherry Hendrix Simpson; the father of Bobby L. (Jona) Simpson of Dry Ridge, Brian D. (Kim) Simpson of Verona and Julie S. (Doug) Stanley of Williamstown. Other survivors include four sisters, Carolyn (Claude) Kinman of Dry Ridge, Cheryl Penick of Wilmington, OH, Bonita (Jim) Utech of South Bend, IN, Lorie (Wesley) Beach of Dry Ridge; one brother, Kevin (Janie) Simpson of Florence and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa and Deborah Simpson.

Visitation will be 4pm - 8pm, Friday, December 16, 2011 with funeral service at 11am, Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.
