Donald E Conrad

July 31, 1922 - December 5, 2011

Donald E. Conrad, Sr., 89, of Dry Ridge, passed away Monday, December 5th at the Grant Manor Rehab. & Nursing Center, Williamstown.

He was a lifelong farmer-45 years in dairy, also tobacco and beef cattle and a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church where he was also a choir member. He was a former member of the National Farmers Organization, the board of Southern States, councilman for the city of Dry Ridge and a member of the Grant County Farm Bureau.

He was the son of the late Wilbur F. and Elizabeth Gulick Conrad. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Darlene Conrad.

Survivors include his wife of sixty six years, Alma Jean King Conrad; two sons, Charles E. Conrad of Dry Ridge, Donald E. Conrad, Jr. of Crittenden; one brother, Rev. James E. Conrad of Butler; two grand daughters-Debra Jaconette andCheryl Gatewoodof Dry Ridgeand sixgreat grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm, Saturday, December 10, 2011 with funeral service 2pm, Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery.
