Don Laake

March 9, 1949 - October 24, 2011

Donald Joseph Laake was born on March 9, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Cincinnati on October 24, 2011 at the age of 62. He was the son of Florine Grace Luebbe Laake Stephany of Edgewood, Kentucky and the late Donald Joseph Laake, Sr.

In addition to his loving mother, Mr. Laake is survived by his wife, Patricia Sue Laney Laake; his son, Joseph Laake of Hebron, KY; his daughter, Karen Gavin of Independence, KY; his brother, Denny Laake of Villa Hills, KY; seven grandchildren; his dog, Rocky and many other relatives and friends. A sister, Karen died in infancy.

Mr. Laake was a retired home builder with Arlinghaus Builders anda veteran of the Vietnam War in the United States Marines.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, Kentucky. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Memorial Fund, c/o V. A. Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.
