Leonard "Smitty" "Bud" Smith

August 3, 1933 - January 10, 2011

Leonard Wayne "Smitty", "Bud" Smith, 77 of Williamstown, KY formerly of Corinth, KY died Monday, January 10th at his residence.

He was a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. He worked for the Paul Michaels Construction Company. He was also a truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded is death by his parents, Manford and Della Ruth Robertson Barchus-Smith; a son, Jeffrey Todd Smith; a brother, Leslie Smith and a sister, Lena Barlow.

Survivors include four sons, Michael W. of Taylor Mill, KY, Ricky L. of Independence, KY, Darren W. of Crittenden, KY, James Jeffrey of Williamstown, KY; four daughters, Darlene Combs of Verona, KY, Valerie Fulks of Williamstown, KY, Charity Williams of Verona, KY, Tracy Luttrell of Butler, KY; one brother, John Barchus of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two sisters, Janet Bryant of Crittenden, KY, June Campbell of Walton, KY; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be 10 am to 1 pm, with funeral services at 1 pm, Friday, January 14, 2011 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North, Williamstown, KY.
