Bonnie McCubbin

February 14, 1936 - April 6, 2014

Bonnie Ruth Beach McCubbin was born in Verona, Kentucky on February 14, 1936 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on April 6, 2014 at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Effie Miller Beach.

On March 1, 1952, Bonnie was united in marriage with Robert Edward McCubbin with whom she made her home in Independence. In addition to her loving husband, Bob, of 62 years, Bonnie is survived by her childen: Lona Murphy, Rhonda "Susie" (Kenny) Webster, Donna (John) Sebastian, Robert (Lois) McCubbin II, Robin "Poo" (Charles) Kahrs all of Independence and Nola (James) Bishop of Defuniak Springs, FL; brothers: Robert "Bobby" (Teresa) Beach of Crittenden and Ronald L. (Rose) Beach of Walton; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. McCubbin was a homemaker and an active member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Independence.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, P. O.
