Wilma Jean Runyon

May 1, 1944 - September 20, 2014

Wilma Jean Burton Runyon was born May 1, 1944 in Harlan Co., Kentucky and passed away Sept. 20, 2014 in Williamstown, KY at the age of 70. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edith Smith Burton.

Wilma was a retired packer for Levi Strauss in Florence, KY.

On July 4, 1992, she was united in marriage to Roger Douglas Runyon. In addition to her devoted husband of 22 years, Wilma is survived by a son: Shannon Wolfe and his wife Kathy of Kentwood, MI; a daughter: Shelly Phillips and her husband (Gordon) of Alto, MI; two stepdaughters: Alison Hetherington and Monica Runyon both of Bloomington, IL; a son-in-law: Todd Ruge; three brothers: George Burton of Jenison, MI, Glen Burton of Berea, KY and Ken Burton of Detroit, MI; a sister: Annette Brown of Tampa, FL; 9 grandchildren: Aubree and her husband Josh, Corey, Tyler, Olivia, Jensen, Jessica, Meghan, Ian and Jack; and 4 great grandchildren: Xavier, Sylas, Carter, and Grace.

Wilma was preceded in death by a daughter: Stacey Wolfe Ruge, three brothers: Willard Burton, Randall Burton, and Russell Burton; and her step-mother: Lucy Burton.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
