Juanita Strroud Poe Halsey

August 13, 1935 - April 24, 2009

Juanita S. Halsey of Crittenden, KY, was born August 13, 1935 in Fernleaf, Ky. She passed away Friday, April 24, 2009, in Crittenden, KY, at the age of 73.

Juanita was the daughter of the late Isaac Disher Poe and Nora Gertrude Hinson. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Germantown Methodist Church. Juanita was united in marriage on January 9, 1971, to John W. Halsey.

In addition to being survived by her husband of 38 years,she is also survived by 3 sons, George Wesley Halsey of Norway, James Wayne Halsey of Cincinnati, OH, and Rick Joe Mains, Sr. of Independence, Ky; 4 daughters, Elizabeth Lynn Craddock of Elsmere, KY, Barbara Sue Kerr of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Julie Ann Figueroa of Greensboro, NC, and Tammy Lee Stephenson of Dry Ridge, KY; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and 1 sister Joyce Schweitzer of Augusta, KY.

Funeral Services for Juanita will be 3:00pm Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden, KY, with burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Visitation will be Sunday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
