Herman Junior Allen

March 4, 1938 - December 14, 2016

H. Junior Allen, a Union resident, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KYon December 14, 2016 at the age of 78.

Mr. Allen was a retired machine operator for F.H. Lawson of 28 yrs and a former machinist for Overhead Door Co. He loved to farm, and had a passion for classic cars.

Mr. Allen was born to the late Herman and Stella "Cleo" Mason Allen in Mt. Vernon, KY on March 4, 1938. He is survived by four sons, Jerry Allen (Sheryl) of Warsaw, KY, David "Mike" Allen (Kim) of Union, KY, Jesse Allen (Shelli) of Burlington, KY, Daryl Owens (Laura) of Verona, KY, one sister, Norma Jean Nantz of Independence, KY, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1pm at the Briarfield Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, KY. Memorials are suggested to the H.O.P.E. Center, 330 Cottonwood Dr., Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
