Mary Florence Brooks

July 21, 1934 - December 9, 2016

Mrs. Mary Florence Brooks of Verona, KY. passed away Friday, December 9 at her residence at the age of 82. Mrs. Brooks was born July 21, 1934 in Verona, KY. to the late Larry Ryan and Hattie Poole Ryan. Mrs. Brooks was a homemaker and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Mrs. Brooks was a former member of the board of directors for Verona EMS. Mrs. Brooks enjoyed flowers, bird watching, watching the squirrels in her yard, taking trips to the ocean and she will be fondly remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren but had a special bond with one, Lindsey Brooks.



In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur Earl Brooks in 1989 and by a son: Timothy M. Brooks in 2008.



Mrs. Brooks leaves to mourn her passing 3 daughters: Patricia (Jim) Ford of Ft. Wayne, IN., Pamela (Troy) Towery of Verona, KY., Regina Brooks- (Jereme) Hall of Verona, KY., 4 sons: David (Lee Ann) Brooks of Dry Ridge, KY., Lawrence (Betty) Brooks of Independence, KY., Jon (Debbie) Brooks of Dry Ridge, KY., Ben (Debbie) Brooks of Verona, KY. and she was blessed with6 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildrenand 4 stepgreat grandchildren.



Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mary Florence Brooks will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 15 at All Saints Catholic Church, Walton, KY. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 14 in the chapel of the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY. and there will be additional visitation at the church on Thursday beginning at 9:00 am. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Verona, KY.



If memorial contributions are desired they may be given in the form of masses or St. Joseph Academy, or the family of Mrs. Brooks.
