Sedric "Sid" Scott was born in Warsaw, Kentucky on January 30, 1930 and passed away in Verona on November 21, 2016 at the age of 86. He was the son of the late Wesley Warren and Mary Helen Noel Scott.
Mr. Scott was the husband of Susan Marie Owens Scott who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters: Sandy Ryan and her husband, Patrick of Verona and Tina Marie Dunn and her husband Scott of Williamstown; brothers: Vernon Scott of Crittenden, Randolph Scott and his wife, Johnnie Sue of Florence; sister: Mary Lou Fountain of Walton; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Sid was preceded in death by a son: Stephen Dale Scott; a brother: Robert Glen Scott and a sister: Phyllis Rhodes.
Sedric was a truck driver for many years and proud to be a member of the Teamsters. He later owned and operated the Scott's Towing Service in Burlington and remained a member of the Beaverlick Baptiist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Funeral services will be at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092 on Friday, November 25, 2016at 11:30 AM. Visitation will also be on Friday from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. A fellowship meal will be held at the Beaverlick Baptist Church immediately following the burial and everyone is invited.
