John Finch Hester

June 16, 1937 - September 17, 2016

John "Jack" Hester was born June 16, 1937 in Crittenden, Kentucky and passed away September 17, 2016 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 79. He was the son of the late Francis Eugene and Nell Marie Redding Hester.

Jack was a retired Printer for Diamond International in Norwood, Ohio and was a member of the AFL-CIO. He also attended the Growing Place Church of God in Norwood, OH. After Jack retired he spent much of his time travelling and in his garden.

On March 1, 1985, Jack was united in marriage to Glenna Strunk Hester. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters: Darlene Jones of Elsmere, Brenda Johnson (Michael) of Independence, Sue South of Edenton, OH and Pamela Strunk of Owensville, OH; two sons: Chuck Strunk of Amelia, OH and Dwayne Strunk (Sharon) of Eastgate, OH; two brothers: Fred Hester (Patty) of Richwood and Joe Hester of Crittenden; two sisters: Pauline Bowman of Ft. Thomas and Sallie Lancaster (Warren "Bud") of Crittenden; and 8 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: David Hester, William Hester and Thomas Hester; and 1 son: David Hester.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona with Pastor Mike Cornelius presiding. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery.
