Wanda Mae Jones Hunter

Wanda Mae Jones Hunter of the New Columbus community in Corinth was born May 5, 1940 in Sadieville KY and died Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Lexington, KY.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Loretta Jenkins Jones, a homemaker, and a lifelong member of the Stonewall 1st Church of God in Sadieville. On January 14, 1961 Wanda was united in marriage to her husband Edward Hunter, Jr.

In addition to her husband of 55yrs., she is also survived by 2 sons, David (Karen) Hunter and Jeff (Kim) Hunter both of Corinth; 1 daughter Connie (Jimmy) Mowery of Georgetown; 5 grandchildren, Michele Lainhart, Brittany (Michael) Carrico, Carey and Arron Hunter, and Brandon Mowery; 3 great-grandchildren, Angel Christian and Ryan Lainhart; and 2 brothers, Charles (Kathy) Jones and Danny (Kathy) Jones both of Corinth.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Stonewall 1st Church of God in Sadieville with visitation at the church Tuesday from 10:00am-1:00pm. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.

Visitation will also be Monday 4:00-8:00pm at the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth KY.
