Ella Jean Spegal Dowell

January 9, 1935 - February 21, 2016

Ella Jean Spegal Dowell of Elsmere, KY and formerly of the Elliston Community of Grant County, KY was born January 9, 1935 in Pendleton County, KY and died Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 81.

She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Edna Laverne Dahms Spegal. She was a retired supervisor for the Palm Beach Company and a member of the Elsmere Baptist Church. On May 11, 1951 she was united in marriage to her husband Alfred C. Dowell.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Barbara Elizabeth Richardson.
Surviving is 2 sons, Kenneth Ray (Debby) Dowell of Summit Station, PA and Kevin Clayton (Cathleen) Dowell of Elsmere, KY; 2 daughters, Karen Dowell (James) Prendergast of San Antonio, TX, and Kimberley Dowell (Ricky) Minton of Williamstown, KY; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;1 brother, Charles Ray Spegal of Mt-Zion, KY; and 1 sister, Shirley Ann Rhoton of Dry Ridge, KY.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Elsmere Baptist Church with visitation at the church from 10:00am-11:00am Thursday. Visitation will be 3:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, February 24 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY.
