Katherine Lee Thrasher

December 12, 1925 - February 6, 2016

Katherine Thrasher, of Verona, was born December 12, 1925 in Fairbanks, OH and passed away February 6, 2016 in Erlanger, KY at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Myrtle Ida James May.

Katherine was a homemaker and a member of the Beaverlick Christian Church. She was also formerly a cook at "Camp Joy" for underprivileged children in Ohio.

On November 1, 1941, Katherine was united in marriage to George Albert Thrasher who preceded her in death on November 6, 1987. She is survived by 3 sons: Mark James Thrasher of Wisconsin, Robert Walter (Karan) Thrasher of Florida and Matthew Brian (Diane) Thrasher of Kentonville, KY; 4 daughters: Gloria Jean (James) Merida of Verona, Catherine Lee Merida of Smelterville, ID, Sharon Rose (Roy) Hutchinson (Roy) of Florence and Teresa Ann (Orlando) Dossantos of Erlanger; a brother: Thomas Jefferson (Wanda) May, Jr. of London; a sister: Wanie (Norman) Biser of Fairfield, OH; and 23 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Katherine was preceded in death by 2 sons: George Albert Thrasher, Jr. and Jerry Thrasher; a daughter: Rebecca Louise Herman; and 3 sisters: Ruby Thrasher, Dorothy Shreve and Juanita Biser.

Funeral services will by 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona with Bro. Carl Hutchinson presiding. Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Beaverlick Christian Church Cemtery.
