James Parker Mason

September 14, 1942 - February 3, 2016

James "Jim" Mason was born September 14, 1942 in Corinth, Kentucky and passed away February 3, 2016 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 73. He was the son of the late Luther and Wilma Parker Mason.

Jim was a retired assembler for General Motors. He formerly work for Conoco Phillips in Williamstown. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona, KY and a member of the UAW Local #674. He was a lifelong farmer and will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

On July 23, 1965 Jim was united in marriage to Louise Plunkett Mason. In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by 2 sons: James Michael Mason (Amy) of Crittenden and Daniel Mason of Crittenden; a daugther: Kim Simpson (Brian) of Verona; 2 sisters: Helen Osborne of Owenton and Louise Gordon of Wheatley; and three grandchildren: Madison Simpson, Aaron Mason and Morgan Simpson.

He was preceded in death by three brother: Everette Mason, Tommy Mason and Hugh Mason; and two sisters: Ama Wright and Jean Davis.

Funeral services will 11:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
