Hilda Fay Chipman Messer

March 18, 1947 - May 12, 2009

Hilda Fay Chipman Messer was born in Jonesville, Kentucky on March 18, 1947 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth - Florence, in Florence, Kentucky on May 12, 2009 at the age of 62. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas and Edna Mae Smith Chipman.

On September24, 1966 Hilda was united in marriage with Raymond Messer. From this union one son, Jeff Messer of Warsaw, KY and two daughters, Jan Reams-Beckett of Hebron, KY and Jennifer Donovan of Hebron, KY were born. In addition to her loving husband and children, Mrs. Messer is survived by two brothers: Don Dunn of Palmyra, IN and Homer Junior Dunn; one sister: Ruby Burris of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren: Jessica Messer Centers, Joshua Messer, Brittney Donovan, Brandi Marcum-Sipple, and Ashley Donovan; two great grandchildren: Dirk Sipple and Marcus Centersand many other relatives and friends. One brother, Raymond Dunn preceded Hilda Fay in death.

Mrs. Messer wasa member of the Lawrenceville Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved to collect dolls. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM on Friday at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 - 4:00 PM Friday. Burial will follow at the Jonesville IOOF Cemetery, Jonesville, KY.
