Roy Race, Jr. of Jonesville, KY was born May 30, 1936 in Grant County, KY and died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the VA Medical Center, Lexington, KY at the age of 79.

Roy was the son of the late Roy Sr. and Louella Taylor Race. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired maintenance employee and bus driver for the Grant County School District and on November 22, 1996 was united in marriage to Betty Lou Hatfield Race.
Surviving is his wife, Betty Race; 1 son, Mike Race of Williamstown; 1 daughter, Paula Sue Race of Winchester; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers, George Race of New Liberty and Floyd Race of Sherman; and 1 sister, Ruby Race Harris of Dry Ridge.
Graveside services will be at 11:00am Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North, in Williamstown, KY
