Opal Lee Fugate Lawson

March 12, 1937 - October 14, 2015

Opal Lee Fugate Lawson was born in Wolfe County, KY on March 12, 1937 and passed away at St. Elizabeth, Edgewood on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the age of 78.She was the widow of R.C. "Bill" Lawson.

Shewas a former sales clerk at Southern States, Warsaw, KY and was a member of Scenic View Church of Christ and the Gallatin County Homemakers.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by her sons Glenn Lawson and Brian Lawson, both of Verona, KY, her brother, J.D. Fugate of Taylor Mill, KY, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Opal was preceded in death by her son, Jack Lawson in 2003.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lawson will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Hamilton Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Napoleon Cemetery, Glencoe, KY.
