Aretta Crouch Sebastian, of the Golds Valley Community,was born near Clark's Creek in Grant County, Kentucky on January 15, 1924 and passed away at the home of her daughter in Crittenden, Kentucky on October 8, 2015 at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Verna Jump Crouch.


On March 1, 1941, Aretta was united in marriage with Wilford Newton Sebastian, known by all as "Ted", who died January 21, 2004. From this union two children survive: Jerry Lee Sebastian of Dry Ridge and Reba Carol Ashcraft of Crittenden. One son, Dennis Ray Sebastian, died at birth. In addition to her loving children, Mrs. Sebastian is survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A brother, Charles Crouch, Jr. and a sister, Anna Laura Caldwell also preceded Aretta in death.


The eldest member of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church having joined in 1954, Mrs. Sebastian was the former church secretary and treasurer. She retired from the Grant County Hospital after 25 years, working first in the Nursery and then later in Central Supplies. She was also a former member of the Grant County Homemakers.


Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, Kentucky 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in care of Larry Jones11515 Taft Highway, Williamstown, KY 41097.
