Melvin "Mel" Douglas Allen II

October 23, 1967 - August 8, 2010

Mel D. Allen, II , 42 of Dry Ridge died Sunday, August 8 after a motorcycle accident.

He was a road construction worker employed by Lawrence Construction Company, Burlington and a member of the KY Motorcycle Assoc. (KBA, Inc.), Mayor of Little Crittenden, a Kentucky Colonel and a lover of motorcycles and historic cars.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Keeney Allen.

Survivors include his father, Melvin D. Allen of Loveland, OH; his wife, Cheri Allen of Dry Ridge, two daughters, Chrystina O''Hara stationed in South Korea, Ashley Lancaster of Dry Ridge; one sister, Elizabeth Radford of West Milton, OH and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14th at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 132 South Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pendleton County.
