Denver Cavins

May 23, 1937 - January 1, 2017

Mr. Denver Cavins of the Mt. Zion Community passed away Sunday, January 1 at his home at the age of 79. Mr. Cavins was born May 23, 1937 in Jackson County, KY. to the late George Cavins and Sudie Reese Cavins. Mr. Cavins was retired from Performance Pipe in Williamstown, KY. and a lifelong farmer. Mr. Cavins was a member of the Elliston Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting guns and working the land. Farming was an important part of his life and when he didn't have farm work to do he liked to work on the equipment.



Mr. Cavins is survived by his wife: Sylvia Madden Cavins, 1 daughter: Kathy Moser and her husband Richard of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 granddaughter: Lynsey Moser of Dry Ridge, KY., 2 sisters: Sophie Pennington and her husband James of Dry Ridge, KY. and Marie Madden of Tyner, KY.



Funeral services for Mr. Denver Cavins will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, January 5 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating. Visitation will be there on Wednesday from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.
