Mitchell McIntosh Sr

April 4, 1929 - September 26, 2013

Mitchell McIntosh, Sr., native of Breathitt Co., died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 at his residence in Williamstown at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Walter and Alpha Combs McIntosh.

Mr. McIntosh is survived by his wife, Norma Garnett McIntosh; one daughter: Delores McHargue of Independence;four sons: Mitchell McIntosh, Jr., Daniel McIntosh and Wayne McIntosh all of Independence and Dennis McIntosh of Treasure Island, FL; three stepchildren: Sherree Rutledge and Danial Burden, both of Tennessee Ridge, TN and Michael Burden of Williamstown; one brother: Ben McIntosh of Independence; two sisters: Elizabeth Sebastian of Morning View and Pearl Curtis of Crittenden. One son, Michael McIntosh, preceded his father in death in 1996.

A member of the Wilmington Baptist Church, Mr. McIntosh was a truck driver for Cincinnati Sheet Metal and a member of the Teamsters Union Local #100.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery.
