America Blythe-Smith

June 9, 1924 - August 6, 2013

America Crabtree Blythe-Smith was born June 9, 1924 in Charleston, WV and passed away August 6, 2013 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late James B. and Eliza Blankenship Crabtree.

America was a retired meat packer for the David Davies Packing Co. inColumbus, OH and at the time of her passing she remained a member of the Florence Baptist Temple in Florence, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JohnH. Blythe, in1974; four brothers: Elmer, Bill, Jesse, and Homer Crabtree; her sister: Thelma Bevans; and a granddaughter: Peggy Blythe.

She is survived by her son John J. Blythe of Verona; a brother: Harold Crabtree of Elkhart, IN; two grandsons: John W. Blythe and Jay Dee Blythe;5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Blythe-Smith will be 4:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. The visitation will be 2-4 PM Friday. Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, Aug 10 at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg, OH.
