Wayne Terrell, Sr.

January 18, 1939 - January 18, 2017

Harold "Wayne" Terrell, Sr., 78, of Dry Ridge, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at home.

He was a retired switchman/conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Jonesville, Kentucky

He was an avid UK fan. Also, a very kind, generous man who never met a stranger.

He was born January 18, 1939 in Blackstar, Harlan County, Kentucky.  He was the son of the late Ernest and Nora Terrell.  He is preceded in death by a son: Harold Wayne Terrell, Jr.; three brothers: Joe Bill Terrell, Raymond Lee Terrell, Sr. and Jimmy Terrell.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty five years, Lola Terrell, a daughter, Tammy (Eddie) Jones of Dry Ridge, a son, Todd (Marlene) Terrell of Gallatin, TN; five grandchildren: Jeffrey (Baylee) Terrell of Kingfisher, OK, Brandee (Michael) Kemper of Lexington, Makayla and Maison Terrell of Gallatin, TN, Addison Jones of Dry Ridge, KY; one great grandchild: Paxton Terrell of Kingfisher, OK, and a sister, Patricia Ann (Milton) Jackson of Maineville, OH.

Services will be held at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, Kentucky,  Saturday, January 21, 2017.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  Funeral at 2:00 PM and burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist in Jonesville, Kentucky.
