Billy Marksberry

September 19, 1934 - August 20, 2016

Billy D. Marksberry was born September 19, 1934 in Williamstown, KY and passed away August 20, 2016 at his residence at the age of 81.  He was the son of the late Buena and Bessie Sorrell Marksberry.

Billy was a retired city manager for the City of Williamstown and was a member of the Williamstown Christian Church.  He was also a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marines.

On May 16, 1959, he was united in marriage to Edna Frances Ingrahm Marksberry.  In addition to his wife of 57+ years, he is survived by 2 sons: Jeff Marksberry (Laura) of Houston, Alabama and Jerry Marksberry (Janet) of Williamstown; 4 brothers: Jimmy Marksberry of South Carolina, Marvin Marksberry of Williamstown, Donald Marksberry of Grayson and Buena Marksberry, Jr. of Mason; 4 sisters: Vicky King of Falmouth, Dorothy Faulkner of Falmouth, Vivian Porter of Williamstown and Shirley Harp of Alexandria; and 6 Grandchildren and 17 Great Great Grandchildren:

Billy was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ray and Harold Marksberry.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
