Richard Eckler

November 6, 1959 - April 29, 2016

Mr. Kenneth Richard Eckler of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Friday, April 29 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 56.  Richard was born November 6, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Arlene Grabo Eckler and the late Kenneth Murphey Eckler.  Richard was co-owner and former manager at the Red River Company in Florence, KY.  He was a member of the Dry Ridge Christian Church and the Crittenden-Dry Ridge Lodge #694, Free and Accepted Masons.  Richard had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting.  He was an accomplished horseman and taught riding as well as training and showing horses and received several awards.  In his younger years he was very active with the 4-H.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Murphey Eckler in 2007.

Richard leaves to mourn his passing a daughter: Ashten Cox, his mother: Arlene Eckler of Dry Ridge, KY., a sister: Dianne Gayle and her husband Rick of Florence, KY. and he has 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Richard Eckler will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 3 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. David Wiggins officiating.  Visitation will be there on Tuesday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Broadridge Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
