Mr. Paul A. Herron of Williamstown, KY. passed away Monday, March 28 at home at the age of 85.  Mr. Herron was born February 9, 1931 in Grant County, KY. to the late Omer Leslie Herron and Lassa Spicer Herron.  Mr. Herron was a retired railroad conductor for the CSX Railroad and a lifelong farmer.  Mr. Herron was a member and deacon of the Violet Ridge Church of Christ.  He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and after his return home from his time in the service Mr. Herron married Geneva Mardis on January 23,1954.  Mr. Herron enjoyed farm life and working the land and he enjoyed horseback riding.

In addition to his parents Mr. Herron was preceded in death by sisters: Ruth Crooks and Inez Martin.

Mr. Herron leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 62 years, Geneva Mardis Herron, 2 daughters: Donna Faye Smith and her husband Douglas of Williamstown, KY., Carol Jane Garrison of Williamstown, KY. and he was blessed with 3 grandchildren: Edward Wayne Smith, Emily Frances Garrison and Megan Christina Garrison and 1 great granddaughter: Taylor Lynn Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul A. Herron will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, April 2 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, with Rev. David Shanklin officiating.  Visitation will be there on Friday, April 1 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.  Burial with military honors will be 2:00 pm Monday, April 4 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Violet Ridge Church of Christ or to the Mt. Olivet Christian Church.
