Mrs. Edna Mae Belew Baston of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Thursday, March 3 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 85.  Mrs. Baston was born April 10, 1930 in Pendleton County, KY. to the late Harry Herbert Belew and Ethel Lena Wynn Belew.  On January 19, 1952 Mrs. Baston was united in marriage to Richard Dale Baston.   Mrs. Baston was retired from Cincinnati Bell where she worked for many years in various positions.  She was a member of the Cincinnati Bell professional organization, the Pioneers of America.  Mrs. Baston was a long time member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church and formerly taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, was active with the Women on Missions and the Young At Heart group.  Mrs. Baston enjoyed travel, gardening and flowers and was especially fond of cooking.  She will most fondly be remembered by her family for her love and devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baston was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dale Baston on January 1, 2001 and by a great granddaughter: Evangeline Joy Wilcox in 2011.

Mrs. Baston leaves to mourn her passing 4 daughter: Rebecca "Becky" Peddicord of Dry Ridge, KY., Deborah "Debbie" Baston of Taylor Mill, KY., Patricia "Patty" Miller and her husband Preston of San Antonio, TX.,  and Kimberly "Kim" Owen and her husband David of Nicholasville, KY.  Mrs. Baston was blessed with 3 grandchildren: Katie Wilcox and her husband Josh of Independence, KY., Maria Owen and Mark Owen both of Nicholasville, KY. and 3 great grandsons: Shepard, Corbin and Bennett Wilcox.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Mae Belew Baston will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, March 6 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Willie Ailstock officiating.  Visitation will also be on Sunday from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
