Mr. Densel Dyer, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Monday, October 5 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood at the age of 55. Densel was born January 25, 1960 in Cynthiana, KY. to the late Austin and Marie Allen Dyer. Densel graduated from Grant County High School in 1978 and on February 17, 1978 he married the love of his life, Jo Sharon, and they started their life together in Dry Ridge. Densel worked as a water meter technician for Dyer Meter Service and was a devoted member and Elder of the Violet Ridge Church of Christ in Crittenden, KY. He will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Densel was full of life and loved everyone. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Among his many interests were antique cars and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Densel was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ronnie Dyer in 1990 and Lonnie Dyer in 1954. Densel leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 37 years, Jo Sharon Pennington Dyer, 1 daughter: Amanda (Matthew) Kinman of Jeffersonville, KY., 1 son: Blake (Ashley) Dyer of Georgetown, KY., 3 grandchildren: Nathan Kinman, Logan Kinman, Gentry Dyer, 3 brothers: Aaron Dyer of Corinth, KY., Afton (Bonnie) Dyer of Corinth, KY., Donnie (Peggy) Dyer of Corinth, KY., 5 sisters: Marcella (Jim) Scudder of Corinth, KY., Arbiedella (John) Richerson of Jonesville, KY., Anita (Jim) Wright of Corinth, KY., Jeanette (Jimmy) Franklin of Georgetown, KY., & Denise (Steve) Epperson of Barbourville, KY. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Densel Dyer will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, October 9 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Bro. Dave Shanklin officiating. Visitation will be there on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Violet Ridge Church of Christ.
