Dennis Allen Vallandingham

August 12, 1966 - June 23, 2015

Mr. Dennis Allen Vallandingham, of Virginia Beach, VA., passed away Tuesday, June 23 at the Sentara-Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia at the age of 48. Dennis was born August 12, 1966 in Covington, KY. Dennis served his country and made a career in the United States Navy where he retired as a Master Chief. He worked in later years as a Navy defense contractor. Dennis was preceded in death by a son: Kyle A. Vallandingham on March 16, 2013. Dennis leaves to mourn his passing a son: Dennis A. Vallandingham and is wife Ashley of Ft. Mitchell, KY., his mother: Joyce Banks of Florence, KY., 1 brother: Donnie Banks of Florence, KY., 3 sisters: Pam Keene of Dayton, OH., Betty Vallandingham of Florence, KY., & Leigh Anna Smith of Villa Hills, KY. He was also blessed with 3 grandchildren: Trevor Bryant, Dillon Vallandingham and Kaylee Vallandingham. Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Allen Vallandingham will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 30 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be there on Monday, June 29 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the charity on choice.
