Charles Schmitz

Mr. Charles Schmitz, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Saturday, May 23 at his residence at the age of 85. Mr. Schmitz was born December 20, 1929 in Stanford, KY. to the late William Schmitz and Eula Cuzick Schmitz. Mr. Schmitz was a retired tool and die maker for General Electric and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Schmitz was preceded in death by his wife: Madeline Baker Schmitz in 1970. Mr. Schmitz leaves to mourn his passing 2 daughters: Kathy Breeden of Dry Ridge, and Sue Penzenstadler of Olathe, Kansas, 2 sisters: Mary Frances Miller of Winchester, KY., Shirley Jean Rutheford of Williamsburg, OH., 1 brother: Harold Schmitz of Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Schmitz was blessed with 2 granddaughters: Brandi Breeden and Holly Breeden Crum and 1 great grandson: Remington Wade Crum. Funeral services for Mr. Charles Schmitz will be conducted 11:30 am Thursday, May 28 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Visitation will be there on Thursday from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Burial with military honors will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
