Broadus E. Edmondson

April 7, 1933 - May 13, 2015

Mr. Broadus Elsworth Edmondson, of Crittenden, KY. passed away Wednesday, May 13 at St. Elizabeth Florence at the age of 82. Mr. Edmondson was born April 7, 1933 in Stewartsville, KY. to the late Chester Edmondson and Alma Beach Edmondson. Mr. Edmondson was a retired truck driver having worked for Verst Group and Natico. He was a 70 year member of the Vine Run Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of Corporal. Mr. Edmondson loved Cincinnati Reds Baseball and played for many years on the church softball team. He enjoyed watching and listening to the Gaither's Gospel Group on television and always looked forward to his trips to Branson, Missouri. Mr. Edmondson was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Lou Edmondson on July 26, 2011. Mr. Edmondson leaves to mourn his passing a son: Broadus Edmondson, Jr. of Crittenden, KY., 3 daughters: Judy Barber (Henry) Abney of Covington, KY., Cindy Holland of Dry Ridge, KY., Donna Taylor Dixon of Crittenden, KY., 1 sister: Bernadine Mullins of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 brother: Delano Edmondson of Dry Ridge, KY., and he was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Broadus E. Edmondson will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, May 16 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, KY. with Bro. Billy Hill officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. Burial will be in the New Vine Run Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Association.
