Stanley K. Hammonds

Mr. Stanley K. Hammonds, of Corinth, KY. passed away Wednesday, April 22 near Georgetown, KY. from injuries received in an accident. Mr. Hammonds was 80 years of age. Mr. Hammonds was born September 10, 1934 in Owen County, KY. to the late Chester G. Hammonds and Louedna Hammonds. Mr. Hammonds was the owner and operator of Stanley Hammonds Trucking and was a life long farmer. At the time of his passing he was a member of the Hesler Assembly of God Church. Mr. Hammonds loved the outdoors and being with his family. He will be fondly remembered by his loved ones for the horseback rides they would take on holidays, recently with four generations participating. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hammonds was preceded in death by daughters: Carolyn Sue Hammonds, Marilyn Scott and Angie Ripley and by 4 siblings. Mr. Hammonds leaves to mourn his passing a daughter: Debbie Howard of Corinth, KY., 2 sons: David Hammonds of Corinth, KY., Johnny Hammonds of Cordova, KY., 1 brother: Larry Hammonds of Dry Ridge, KY., 5 sisters: Mary Silvey of Georgetown, KY., Wavie Renfro and Ruth Epperson both of Dry Ridge, KY., Betty Turton of Lexington, KY., Sylvia Switzer of Plainfield, IN. Mr. Hammonds was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Stanley K. Hammonds will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, April 26 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth, with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of choice.
